OREANDA-NEWS. A delegation led by Mikhail Shmakov, President of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, arrived at KAMAZ with a two-day business visit.

The delegation includes Tatyana Vodopyanova, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Tatarstan, and representatives of the auto industry – Andrey Fefelov, Chairman of the Russian Automobile and Agricultural Machinery Workers` Union, and also heads of trade unions of AVTOVAZ and GAZ.

Yesterday, the guests visited the Engine Plant and CUMMINS KAMA JV located on its territory. They were shown a KAMAZ engine assembly line and a CUMMINS engine assembly line there, then the delegates toured KAMAZ’s museum to familiarize themselves with a long history of the largest Russian producer of heavy trucks. Then the trade union leaders examined an exhibition of KAMAZ vehicles.

Today, the guests plan to visit the automobile plant and the press and stamping plant, KAMAZ-Avtosport Center, the headquarters of the KAMAZ-master team. The delegates will also meet with Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ, and Gumer Nuretdinov, Chairman of the company’s trade union committee. In the course of negotiations, they will discuss the situation in the industry and types of their further cooperation.
