OREANDA-NEWS. Sergey Egorov appointed as Deputy Director General for Systems Engineering in Rusatom Overseas. Previously, he acted as Director of Project designing branch of JSC Concern Rosenergoatom.

In Rusatom Overseas S. Egorov will be, in particular, in charge of organizing the management system of engineering requirements for company’s projects, as well as the architectural design of company's facilities, first of all, of nuclear power plants.

The use of such modern system approach is particularly important in managing the lifecycle of facilities and is essential to ensure ROSATOM’s leading position in the global market”, noted CEO of Rusatom Overseas Dzhomart Aliev.

Sergei Egorov was born on July 29, 1968 . In 1991 he graduated from Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute with a degree in Marine power plants, Department of Atomic Energy, qualification - mechanical engineer, and in 1992 he received further training and additional education in Leningrad Institute of Finance and Economics where graduated as an Economist . S. Egorov started his career at the Central Design Bureau of Machine Building as a design engineer. In nuclear industry S. Egorov has been working since 1990. He participated in development of such projects as      VVER-1500, AES-2006, VVER-TOI and other industry projects. In 2012 he was awarded the Silver Medal of JSC Concern Rosenergoatom “For merits in improving the safety of nuclear power plants”. Prior to joining Rusatom Overseas he acted as Director of Project designing branch of JSC Concern Rosenergoatom.
