Nordecon Completes Construction of Sakala Office Building
OREANDA-NEWS. Nordecon AS delivered the Sakala Office Building in the centre of Tallinn to Selvaag Sakala OЬ in October and the opening ceremony was held last night. The construction of the office building cost ca. 4.2 million euros without VAT.
“The Sakala Office Building is a pleasant addition to the architectural landscape of the centre of Tallinn and it fits in well with its respectable neighbours,” said Alo Tamm, Director of Construction at Nordecon AS. “The building’s glass facade, which uses sealed units with unique technical qualities covered in silkscreen, catches the eye from afar. It’s also remarkable that the pattern used on the faзade is repeated on the surfaces of the concrete walls. Office buildings can be made interesting and we hope that in addition to the client, the tenants of the building and city folk will also be pleased with the end result.”
The building, at Kentmanni 4/Sakala 10, is divided into two functional parts – the one on Sakala Street has six floors, while the one on Kentmanni Street has five. There is a roof terrace measuring ca. 143 square metres on top of the fifth floor. A car park for 22 cars and utility rooms are located in the basement. Total space in the building amounts to ca. 4,680 square metres.
Construction of the building started in spring 2012 and ended this October.
Selvaag Sakala OU belongs to the Selvaag family from Norway, who are active property developers in Norway, Estonia, the United States, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
