OREANDA-NEWS. November 11, 2013. The Head of State emphasized the necessity of developing road network in Ukraine.

"We must build several completely new roads but first of all it is necessary to repair the old ones," Viktor Yanukovych said at the meeting with workers of culture and art.

The President noted good state of central highways built in the framework of preparations to EURO-2012. "We have pretty good motorways, particularly in Western Ukraine. We have built a lot of them in the framework of preparations to EURO-2012," he said.

Particular attention, according to Viktor Yanukovych, should be paid to the construction of new roads of local importance. "The road issue is especially urgent in rural areas," the President stressed.

According to him, the Program of Local Roads Construction for 2014 will become a solution to the given problem.
