KAMAZ and Cuba Boost Cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC KAMAZ, the leader of the Russian truck industry, is taking part in the 31st International Fair FIHAV-2013 (Cuba) held at EXPOCUBA Fairgrounds in Havana from the 3rd to the 9th of November.
The FIHAV international fair ranks among top three successful events in Latin America. The fair in Havana annually attracts about 2,000 companies from 60 countries. The Russian exposition which covers nearly 2,000 square meters presents stands of the largest Russian companies. KAMAZ is the only company representing the Russian auto industry there.
The Republic of Cuba is one of promising export markets in Latin America for OJSC KAMAZ. For 35 years of cooperation, more than 15,000 KAMAZ vehicles have been delivered to Cuba. In the 1990-ies, deliveries of vehicles to this region stopped with the breakup of the Soviet Union. However, in 2009, thanks to the state credit the Russian Federation gave to the Government of Cuba, and also cooperation between Foreign Trade Company KAMAZ and the Agency for the Development of International Cooperation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, measures were taken to recover positions of OJSC KAMAZ on the Cuban market.
During the exhibition, negotiations will be conducted on purchases of KAMAZ vehicles, special equipment and spare parts for them with ministers of transport, construction, nickel producers of Cuba and Latin American countries. The exhibitors will demonstrate commercials and films about products, sports reels, KAMAZ profile films.
