OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2013. Sviaz-Bank (Vnesheconombank Group) rolls out a new time deposit account, the Champion, for individuals. The seasonal option will be available until February 28, 2014, at all Bank offices across Russia.

The new deposit account may be opened for terms of one year and five years at a Bank office or through the Megapay Internet banking system at different total interest rates payable on the deposit. The deposit will be either capitalized or interest will be paid on it every month, and it can be increased without limitations at any time over the first year and terminated before expiry on easy terms.

A deposit made at a Bank office for one year will pay an effective interest at a rate of 9.06% per annum, and 11% per annum, if opened for five years. A deposit account opened through the Internet Bank will pay an effective interest rate of 9.38% per annum on a deposit placed for one year, and 11.47%, if it is placed for five years.

Apart from the higher than normal rates, customers opening a deposit account at a Bank office between November 1, 2013 and February 28, 2014, will be given a commemorative coin from base metals with Olympic motifs.
