OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2013. According to the banking industry’s rankings reports just published, Sviaz-Bank (Vnesheconombank Group) keeps on building up its mortgage selling rates on the Russian banking market.

In particular, the IA Banki.ru put the Bank in third place among the Top 20 leading Russian banksfor the number of mortgage loans issued in the early half of 2013. The Bank issued 4,242 mortgages in all, 739 of them in Moscow and 3,503 across the rest of Russia.

All banks polled by Banki.ru issued 286,344mortgages in January through June of this year, or 85% of the total for the banking system issued by the three leaders – Sberbank, VTB 24, and Sviaz-Bank, in that order.

Sviaz-Bank has been ranked eighth among the Top 20 for the size of the mortgage portfolio that is now 29.8 billion rubles, or 7.1 billion rubles more than it was on January 1, 2013.

For two years in a row, Sviaz-Bank has been ranked among banks showing the highest growth rates in the mortgage market.
