OREANDA-NEWS. During ten month in 2013, NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport served 3,142,531 passengers, representing a 14.6% growth compared to the same period in 2012. Passenger traffic on domestic routes made up 1,854,734 passengers (+8.3%), on international routes - 1,287,797 (+25%).

In October 2013, the airport passenger traffic increased by 15.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and totaled 309,236 passengers. As reported, 185,046 passengers were served on domestic routes (+9.6%), while on international routes - 124,190 (+25%). Due to the strong growth of passenger traffic, Novosibirsk International Airport served its three millionth passenger on October 14, 2013, which is 46 days ahead of the previous year's achievement.

In January-October of the current year, the airport registered 34,080 aircraft movements (+10.7%), while in October alone - 3,834 aircraft movements (+20%).

Year-to-date, the airport reports of 24,315 tons of cargo and mail handled (+6.3%), including 2,663 tons in October only (+6.8%).

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The domestic terminal capacity makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the capacity on international flights - up to 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways.
