OREANDA-NEWS. SCM Group is holding two exhibitions under our project Gifts with Ukrainian Soul in November 2013. The displays will travel to Kiev and Donetsk with the Development Formula programme that supports small and medium-sized business in Ukraine.

The exhibitions will feature the artworks made by winners of SCM Group's contest in categories of decorative plate, embroidery, patchwork, decorative needlework and felt toys.

Kiev is hosting the exposition in museum Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine from 20 November till 3 December 2013 (ul. Desyatinnaya, 12).

Donetsk shows the artworks in ArtDonbass centre from 22 November till 8 December 2013 (ul. Chelyuskintsev, 189 K).

Admission is free to both.

"We promote Ukrainian artisans, show to Ukraine and the world their excellent works and buy New Year presents for our partners from them. Ukraine is rich with talented craftsmen, so our appeal to buy and give Ukrainian products is not something utopian. Ukraine creates the artwork competitive in the global market and Ukrainians are ready to buy the objects made here in Ukraine. Our project, Gifts with Ukrainian Soul, seeks to help Ukrainians - both creators and buyers - to find each other and thus encourage the development of business climate and entrepreneurship in our country," said Natalia Yemchenko, SCM's Director of Public Relations and Communications.

This year DTEK and Ukraina Media Group (includes TV channels Ukraina, NLO and Futbol) joined SCM's initiative.

Olga Zakharova, strategic marketing director at Ukraina Media Group, commented on the project: “Every people has always something special. For Ukrainians it is certainly creativity. It shows our fundamental features: talented, hard working and heartful. We believe it is thus important to support the commitment of people to express themselves through creativity. With this goal in mind we initiated the art project Gifts with Ukrainian Soul back in 2012."

Last year SCM launched a pilot version of Gifts with Ukrainian Soul focused on huta glass makers displayed at the exhibition and later given by SCM as New Year presents to its friends and partners.
