OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2013. TATNEFT Company won the 2nd place in the TOP 10 of the largest oil and gas industry enterprises with the highest level of information transparency by the results of the monthly transparency ranking of the Russian Fuel and Energy Complex companies in October 2013.

The high appreciation of the transparency level received by the Joint Stock Company is the result of extensive work of the Company's services aimed at developing the image and strengthening the business reputation of TATNEFT as well as at increasing the efficiency of the Company's information and communication activities.

To determine the transparency rating of Russian Fuel and Energy Complex companies the Agency for Political and Economic Communications (APEC) had conducted a survey, which was attended by 25 renowned experts: economists, political scientists, analysts and journalists. The evaluation was conducted for 75 largest companies representing nuclear, gas, oil and coal mining industries, transportation of crude oil and petroleum products and electrical power engineering.

Each expert had assessed the level of the companies' transparency, then the arithmetic means of experts' estimates (average scores) had been calculated.
