OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2013. Ukraine has shipped the first batch of export chicken to the EU. This was started by deputy head of the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service Vitaliy Bashynskyi at the International Conference Reforming the food safety system in Ukraine: a model for the future.

According to him, Ukraine will also have the opportunity to get a category "A" soon to export eggs to the European Union.

"As of today, we are working to get the category "A" on the export of eggs for consumption. There are just a few outstanding issues that are in the final stages," V. Bashynskyi said.
