Domodedovo Airport Presents Spruce Alley
OREANDA-NEWS. Creating comfortable conditions for passengers, Moscow Domodedovo Airport has launched its landside improvement project. The green alley which “sprouted up” between the terminal entrance lobbies in October 2013 became part of this project.
About fifty tubs with spruce trees that remain bright in color and firm all the year round, and also favorably impact the environment, were placed at the Domodedovo landside. In addition to that, a lawn having the total area of 2,000 sq. meters was planted and the passenger terminal was decorated with about 2,000 plants.
The landside improvement project also includes thirty designer benches placed among the spruce trees. Their universal folding design allows for using them as creative platforms for placing different information on them. It is planned to triple the number of such benches as early as during the spring and summer of 2014.
The spruce alley with benches is yet another stage of the project for improvement of the Moscow Domodedovo Airport landside, among other things including organization of a shopping area - a market - which will be thematically decorated for different holidays. For passenger comfort, flight schedule displays and information kiosks will be installed at the territory adjacent to the airport terminal.
Implementing its landside infrastructure improvement and landscaping project, Moscow Domodedovo Airport creates a pleasant atmosphere for the guests of the air harbor where the time of waiting for the flight or meeting glides by.
