Ingosstrakh Appoints Senior Executive Vice President
OREANDA-NEWS. The meeting of the Board of Directors of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company made a resolution on appointing Mikhail Volkov to the position of the Senior Vice Director of the Company.
Mikhail Yurievitch Volkov has at least 20 years of experience in the sphere of finance, in particular, in the sphere of financial services, including pension fund scheme, insurance, banks, leasing and private investments management. In his new position, Mr. Volkov will also lead the process of company's strategy adjustment in the context of a constantly changing insurance market. One of the most important tasks for Mikhail Volkov will be further enhancement of company's efficiency, in terms of both work with clients and internal processes.
PersonalBackground
Since 2007, Mikhail Volkov has been working as a managing director of the financial services sector in Basic Element. Volkov also has the position of vice chairperson of the Board of Directors of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company and a member of various committees of the Board of Directors, in particular, Strategy Committee and Personnel and Compensations Committee. On 1 October, 2013, the general meeting of shareholders of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company reelected Mikhail Volkov to the Board of Directors of the company.
Before he was employed by Basic Element , in 2004-2007, he was Executive Vice President of NASTA Insurance Company, and before that, in 2002-2004, he worked as a financial controller in the Moscow representative office of SUN Capital Partners Consultants Ltd. He has been an ACCA member (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) since 1997. The professional career of Mr. Volkov started in 1994 as an auditor in Coopers&Lybrand (later PWC).
Mikhail Volkov was born in 1972. In 1994, he graduated from Saint-Petersburg State Technical University with a double degree, MICS and Information Systems in Economics and Marketing, Management and International Trade of Enterprises. In 2004 he was awarded EMBA degree from Chicago Graduate School of Business.
