OREANDA-NEWS. November 05, 2013. The second meeting of South Africa Mineral Resource Cooperative Sub-committee was held to solve problems during Chinese enterprises’ investment and operation in South Africa.

Deputy director Zhang Xiaoqiang from -National Development and Reform Commission and Minister Susan Shabangu from Mineral Resource Department of South Africa met with relevant ministers and enterprise representatives from both countries to discuss relevant issues.

At the meeting, Deputy General Manager Gong Jingsheng of Sinosteel Corporation introduced enterprise operation and issues of investment in South Africa and made suggestions from two perspectives: namely both from the country level and from the corporate level. After the meeting, Gong Jingsheng made further discussion with Minister Susan Shabangu of Mineral Resource Department of South Africa on business-related issues of Sinosteel Corporation in South Africa. He also invited Minister Susan Shabangu to visit Sinosteel Corporation.
