OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 October 2013, the tenth annual Aristos awards ceremony took place in Moscow. At the ceremony, VTB Supervisory Council Chairman Sergey Dubinin won Best Independent Director of the Year.

Winners of the Aristos award, which ranks among the most prestigious business awards in Russia, are selected from among the managers of Russian companies who are at the top of their respective categories in the TOP 1,000 Russian Managers annual rating survey. The survey is compiled by the Association of Managers and published by Kommersant newspaper.

Members of the Award Academy, who are themselves CEOs and top managers of leading Russian companies, select the Aristos award recipients.

The award seeks to highlight best practice in business management, to promote the important role of business and to create a positive image of the business community in Russia and abroad.

Sergey Dubinin, Chairman of the Supervisory Council: "I am very happy that the expert community has given my work as an independent director, a professional representative, and Chairman of the VTB Supervisory Council such high marks. This is recognition of the bank's strong corporate governance and its openness for shareholders.
