OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero offers new broader travel options for its passengers with the start of its winter flight schedule 2013/2014. For the first time in the airline's history its route network in the winter flight season includes 146 routes, which represents an expansion by nine routes over the previous winter period.

The coming season will feature a significant expansion of the route network available from Vnukovo airport. Transaero will offer flights to 60 destinations from the modern Terminal A in Vnukovo airport, including 20 new routes. For the first time Transaero will launch operations from this airport to Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Bukhara, Donetsk, Riga, Berlin, Denpasar, Salzburg, Lyon, Los Angeles, Mauritius, Malaga, Male, Mahe (Seychelles), Montego Bay (Jamaica), Paphos, Beijing, Istanbul and Toronto.

Under Transaero's development strategy, Vnukovo airport is regarded as an airport for high quality services on routes in demand among premium class passengers.

From Domodevo airport Transaero Airlines will continue operating direct and connecting flights to more than 60 domestic and international routes, where Transaero offers different airfares, including special lower ones. Transaero will operate from Domodedovo the Boeing 747-400, which has the highest seat capacity in the world, with 522 seats in a two-class configuration of both business and economy classes.

Transaero's winter schedule from Sheremetyevo International Airport includes flights to Austria, Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Egypt, India and Thailand operated through Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

The airline continues to develop its domestic route network, launching new flights from Moscow to Stavropol and Irkutsk. These services will be operated from Domodedovo airport. Transaero will increase the frequency of flights on the most popular routes, with up to 25 flights a week from Moscow to Krasnodar as well as to Rostov-on-Don and up to 17 flights weekly to Mineralnye Vody. The flight frequency on the Moscow-Sochi route will see a significant increase to 9 daily flights. The flights to the capital of the Olympic Games will be operated from two Moscow airports, Vnukovo and Domodedovo.

This winter season Transaero will offer two new scheduled international services to Istanbul and Havana. Transaero's flights to Antalya, Dubai and Montego Bay (Jamaica) have acquired regular status.

Transaero will continue to develop direct non-stop flights from the Russian regions to the popular international destinations. This season's schedule will include flights from 22 Russian cities, which represents an expansion by five new cities over the previous flight season. Flights to Bangkok will be operated from 16 Russian cities and to Hurghada from 13 cities. The airline will minimize the number of its charter flights in the winter schedule, mainly represented by flights from Russian regions to international destinations.

This season Transaero passengers will enjoy new onboard services. Transaero will significantly increase the speed of broadband Internet and mobile connectivity services offering onboard its aircraft. In late 2013 - early 2014 the inflight connectivity services will be available on board 15 long-haul Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 777-300 aircraft, operated from three Moscow airports on 12 domestic and international routes. For the first time Transaero will offer Inflight connectivity services on board its medium-range Boeing 737 aircraft.

This winter season Transaero will broaden its Imperial class offering. For the first time Imperial class will be available onboard Transaero Boeing 737-800 aircraft. This winter Boeing 737-800 with Imperial class will be operated on routes to Astana, Almaty, London, Paris, Tel Aviv, and Pathos. Imperial class will be also available on the routes from Moscow to Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Toronto, Cancun, Montego Bay, Bangkok, Phuket, Male, Denpasar, the Mauritius, Seychelles, and at New Year to Barcelona, Tenerife, Rome, Milan and Venice.

In line with the interiors renewal program Transaero continues to install Lumexis IFES that provides for a wide choice of movies, cartoons, TV shows, musical programs, games and audio books available for passengers during flights. Currently, all Transaero's Boeing 777-300 aircraft and some of its Boeing 747-400 aircraft are equipped with this system. In 2014 all Boeing 777-200 aircraft will be equipped with Lumexis IFES. In addition to this, Transaero offers a modern Rockwell Collins IFES on board six Boeing 767 aircraft.

The new offer this season will be the introduction of Boeing 777 services from Saint Petersburg. Flights onboard this widebody aircraft will be operated to Bangkok, Phuket and Punta Cana. Moreover, passengers will be offered Imperial class service on board flights to Thailand and the Dominican Republic.

Starting from December 4, 2013 all domestic and international flights of the airline will take place from a new Terminal at Pulkovo International Airport in St.Petersburg that meets the highest international requirements.

Transaero in cooperation with its international partners offers its clients extensive opportunities for connecting flights around the world in the fall/winter season 2013/2014. Via Vnukovo airport Transaero's passengers are welcome to take advantage of connecting flights with the route networks of its strategic partner, UTair Aviation.

Moreover, Transaero has seven code-share agreements with AigleAzur, airBaltic, Austrian Airlines, Belavia, Virgin Atlantic, Singapore Airlines and China Airlines. Currently, 55 internal and 33 special prorate agreements with the leading airlines provide for even wider travel opportunities for the airline's passengers. Transaero has recently launched cooperation with easyJet, Virgin America, WestJet and JetBlue.
