OREANDA-NEWS. The auditing company Deloitte is about to enter the legal services market of Estonia by setting up a law firm under the name Deloitte Legal.

The establishment of the law office arises from the demands of the time and the market, Veiko Hintsov, partner with Deloitte Estonia, said in a press release.

"In the Baltic Sea region and elsewhere in the world alike auditing companies have already entered the legal services market, Estonia is one of the last countries in the region where a similar process in going on now," he added.

Mait Riikjarv, head of tax and legal affairs at Deloitte Estonia, described the establishment of the law office as a logical step in the development of services that meets clients' ever growing expectation to receive quality tax and legal services from service providers under a single brand.

Often the more complex deals and business disputes are linked to legal, financial and tax related issues alike, which gives a clear advantage to service providers working together, said Rait Kaarma, attorney at the new law office.

Deloitte launched a law office in Lithuania in 2008 and in Latvia in 2010. About ten lawyers work at both offices.

Deloitte started business in Estonia in 1996.
