OREANDA-NEWS. During the period from January through September 2013, oil production at the Company's fields amounted to 11,900 thousand tonnes, which is 3.2% (371 thousand tonnes) more than in the same period in 2012. In the third quarter of 2013, Bashneft produced 4,132 thousand tonnes of oil, which is 6.5% more than in the third quarter of 2012. In the third quarter of 2013, Bashneft's average daily production totalled 44.9 thousand tonnes per day, reaching a record high since 1995.

Production growth was related to highly efficient geological and engineering operations at brownfields in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the start of pilot production at the R. Trebs and A. Titov fields in the Nenets Autonomous District, where the Company produced 120 thousand tonnes of oil in August and September 2013.

During the period from January through September 2013, Bashneft's refining complex in Ufa processed 16,053 thousand tonnes of oil, which is 4.3% more than in the same period in 2012; this was related to an increase in oil production in the Republic of Bashkortostan. In the third quarter of 2013, the Company refined 5,552 thousand tonnes of oil, which is 4.3% more than in the third quarter of 2012. During the nine months of 2013, refining depth averaged 85.4%, while the share of light products rose to 60.4%.

In the third quarter of 2013, the output of VGO increased and, consequently, the output of light products fell because the Company had to take measures for ensuring that its process units fully comply with process safety requirements.

During the period from January through September 2013, the output of commodities at Bashneft's refineries in Ufa added 5% year-on-year and reached 14,772 thousand tonnes. Gasoline production increased by 3.4% compared to the nine months of 2012, while diesel fuel production rose by 5.2%.

During the period from January through September 2013, Euro 4 and Euro 5 gasoline accounted for 90.6% of the total gasoline output compared to 65.3% in the same period in 2012. In the third quarter of 2013, the share of Euro 4 and Euro 5 gasoline in the total output amounted to 88.5%. The share of Euro 5 gasoline totalled 64.2% during the nine months of 2013 and 66.8% in the third quarter of 2013.

The share of Euro 4 and Euro 5 diesel fuel rose from 23.3% between July and September 2012 to 36.3% in the third quarter of 2013. The share of Euro 5 diesel fuel amounted to 27.8% during the nine months of 2013 and 31.4% in the third quarter of 2013.
