OREANDA-NEWS. On October 24, 2013 participants of the founding conference of the Novgorod Regional Branch of the all-Russia public movement People's Front For Russia supported the initiative to build a new bedroom block for one of the psychoneurological nursing homes in the region. The turn-key construction of the block for 100 beds in the psychoneurological nursing home complex was initiated by Viatcheslav Kantor, Chairman of Acron Coordinating Board and Honoured Citizen of Veliky Novgorod. The construction will be financed from Kantor's own funds, and Acron will provide technological and organisational support for design and construction.

The new block will meet all requirements and safety standards. Selection of the building design and construction site is underway.

Currently, people with neurological diagnoses have to queue for a place in corresponding social establishments where facilities are extremely worn. The construction of the new block will facilitate the solution of these problems.

“We welcome Acron's initiative. Such cases might have happened in modern history, though I do not recall that charitable donations were given to this sphere of health care. However, it is not even important what sphere it is. It is vital that hospitals providing services to people receive funding. Now a new cutting-edge bedroom block for treating the sick will be constructed,” said Mikhail Shmakov, Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia and conference participant.
