OREANDA-NEWS. According to the results of the "Young Innovator and Inventor of the Republic of Tatarstan" contest the young professionals of JSC TATNEFT won 12 prizes for innovative activities and the first place for invention.

The organizers of this annual contest are the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, the public organization "Society of Inventors and Innovators of the Republic of Tatarstan" and the regional public organization "Youth Union of enterprises and organizations of the Republic of Tatarstan".

The objectives of the contest include increasing the prestige of rationalization and invention activities in the Republic of Tatarstan, supporting and encouraging of the invention and innovation work and identifying the scientific and technological potential of the Republic.

The geography of the contest participants is extensive and covers the whole of Tatarstan. 84 authors from 34 enterprises of the Republic participated in the contest in 2013. Totally 572 rationalization proposals and 13 patents for utility models and invention had been submitted for consideration.

The works were presented in the following categories: gas industry, oil and gas production, protection of oilfield equipment, informatics, information networks, computer engineering, information technologies, engineering, machinery, equipment and specialized machinery, quality management, metallurgy, methods of enhanced oil recovery, labor protection and industrial safety, food industry, well workover, systems and technology to ensure production safety, well construction, shipbuilding, heat power engineering, chemistry, ecology and environmental monitoring, power supply, electrical networks in the system, electrical engineering, power engineering, consumer goods industry, medical equipment, transport and road construction. The number of the nominations has increased from 11 to 25 compared to the previous year.

The contest jury increased the number of second and third wining prizes due to the large number of works submitted by companies and organizations and a large economic benefit derived from the introduction of these innovations.
