OREANDA-NEWS. The specialists of JSC “E4 Group” have completely installed major equipment and engineering systems in the main building according to the schedule under the reconstruction project of Izhevskaya TPP-1 with the use of CCPP. Currently, the commissioning works are ongoing.

The contract for the reconstruction of Izhevsikaya TPP with the use of CCPP was signed between JSC “E4 Group” and JSC “TGK-5” (KES-Holding) in April 2012. The project envisages the construction of one combined-cycle power plant of 230 MW as regards electricity and 498 Gkal/h as regards heat in the territory of Izhevskaya TPP. Besides, according to the contract JSC “E4 Group” shall deliver the whole package of auxiliary equipment, carry out commissioning works, participate in putting a new power unit into service and in certifying thereof.

The reconstruction of Izhevskaya TPP is one of the prioritized investment projects of KES-Holding. It will allow significantly increase the capacity of the power plant and cover the deficit in thermal and electric power in Izhevsk, thus having secured reliable and uninterruptible power supply for industrial enterprises and household customers. Therefore, the use of a combined cycle technology will have a favorable effect on economic indicators of Izhevskaya TPP-1 owning to decrease of specific fuel consumption and increase of the generating equipment efficiency.

It is planned to put the new power unit into service in 2014.
