OREANDA-NEWS. SGM Group of Companies has completed the construction and commissioning of the Kubanskaya compressor station, which is a part of the Southern Corridor gas pipeline system.

Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee, Vadim Lukoyanov, Deputy Head of the Krasnodar Territory Administration, Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry as well as Ruslan Goryukhin, CEO of LLC "STORYGAZMONTAZH", participated in the ceremony devoted to the compressor station start-up.

Gazprom Invest Yug LLC is the Customer of the Kubanskaya CS construction, LLC "SCC "Gazregion" plays the role of the Subcontractor. Up-to-date equipment and advanced technologies were applied for the station construction. The station aggregate capacity amounts to 48 MW in total. Four gas pumping units (GPU) with a capacity of 12 MW each are installed on the Kubanskaya CS. All the GPU are equipped with automatic control and safety systems.

"The Kubanskay CS became an important element of Gazprom gas transmission system in the South of Russia. Its operation will increase the gas supply reliability for the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory and Olympic facilities. In the long view this compressor station will take part in gas supply via the Southern Corridor into the South Stream export gas pipeline. Therefore a timely commissioning of Kubanskaya CS is another compelling evidence that all the Gazprom's plans on the Sourthern Corridor construction will be implemented in due time", said Vitaly Markelov.
