Russian Helicopters Will Hold Forum on Russian-Kazakh Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of Rostec State Corporation, and Aircraft Repair Plant No. 405, with support from the Akimat of Almaty, will host the Russian-Kazakh Helicopter Projects regional forum on 23 October at the Dostyk hotel in Almaty.
“Kazakhstan is one of the fastest-growing markets wh ere helicopters are in high demand,” said Mikhail Dubrovin, marketing director at Russian Helicopters. “Russian-build helicopters have operated successfully in the country for many years and fly a wide range of missions. We are offering our Kazakh partners the latest models and take care to provide high-quality service for the helicopters we supply, continually improving and upgrading our service programmes.”
The forum aims to expand bilateral cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan on joint helicopter projects. Kazakh helicopter operators will give presentations on their experience and the prospects for operating Russian-built helicopters in the region. Russian Helicopters plans to sign a number of agreements with Kazakh partners during the forum to expand and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.
In addition, during the forum there will be presentations of the Ka-226T and Mi-171A2. The Ka-226T is a light coaxial helicopter that can be used for medevac missions in urban conditions and in mountain territory. The Mi-171A2 is an innovative helicopter from the multirole Mi-8/17 series that expands the capabilities of this class of helicopter. The Mi-8/17 series is widely used in Kazakhstan, being used among others by the Emergencies Ministry and the Air Force.
