UTair Confirms Compliance with Standard for Operational Safety
OREANDA-NEWS. UTair Aviation has successfully passed the regular compliance audit for the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) international standard for operational safety, or IOSA. UTair has been on the IOSA Registry since 2008. The results of this most recent IOSA audit extend the validity of UTair's certificate of compliance to October 12, 2015.
The international audit covered the airline's core activities: organizational structure and management, operations safety, flight planning and control, airworthiness and MRO, cabin safety, ground handling, freight transport and aviation security.
Inclusion on the international IOSA registry confirms UTair's compliance with international standards for operational safety in operations and service quality. At present 18 Russian airlines have valid IOSA certification.
UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2012 UTair aircraft transported 8,582,681 passengers. The airline's fleet consists of more than 150 aircraft. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs more than 100 daily flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard.
