OREANDA-NEWS. In September this year, according to the new standard, the ratio of days with standard air quality in Chongqing city proper is 83.3% (25 days), increasing by 9 days compared with the previous month.

It was found that in September, the primary pollutant in Chongqing city proper was particulate matter (PM 2.5), accounting for 58.3% of the days, and followed by nitrogen dioxide (NO2) at 25.0%, ozone (O3) at 8.4% and inhalable particulate matter (PM10) at 8.3%. Among the main pollutants, PM10, PM2.5 and NO2 exceeded the standard by 16%, 57% and 18% respectively. The concentration of SO2 met the standard.
