Anhui's Fiscal Revenue Up 10.6% in Q1-Q3
OREANDA-NEWS. Anhui province's fiscal revenue rose 10.6 percent year-on-year to 255.1 billion yuan (USD 41.8 billion) in the first three quarters, Jianghuai Morning News reported, citing the provincial department of finance.
Local fiscal revenue, part of government's earnings, amounted to 160.1 billion yuan, up 18 percent from a year earlier. The growth was higher than the national average of 12.7 percent. The province was ranked second in the central China region, whether in terms of the amount or the year-on-year rise, the report said.
Tax revenue enjoyed a slow growth during the first nine months. It approached 160 billion yuan, up 3.6 percent year-on-year. Such a rise was 1.4 percentage points higher than the first half of this year.
76 counties and county-level districts collectively posted a 13.4 percent year-on-year increase in fiscal revenue. Out of them, 58 saw a rise more rapid than the provincial average. Feixi, Fengtai and Dangtu reported their separate fiscal earnings exceeded 3 billion yuan.
In the meantime, the province's fiscal expenditure reached more than 290 billion yuan, achieving around 79 percent of the annual budget target, said the department. Up to 233 billion yuan, or 80.2 percent of the total, was spent in improving people's well being.
Since January, the provincial government has allocated 56.6 billion yuan to 33 welfare-related projects. The fund accounted for 93.5 percent of the planned investment, according to the report.
