PotashCorp Named One of Canada's Top 100 Employers
OREANDA-NEWS. Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. (PotashCorp) has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the second consecutive year. The company was also named one of the Top Employers for Young People in Canada and one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers.
Compiled by Mediacorp and published by The Globe and Mail, the annual list names the best places to work in Canada. The winners are chosen after detailed evaluation and judged by an academic advisory board, the members of which are all experts in Human Resources.
“We are honoured to once again be included on this list. PotashCorp is not only a great place to work, it’s a great place to build a career,” said Lee Knafelc, PotashCorp’s Vice President, Human Resources and Administration. “We are particularly proud of our community involvement and our investment in improving the socioeconomic wellbeing of communities where we operate.”
PotashCorp invests in its employees by offering training, competitive salaries, excellent benefits and options for career advancement in an equal opportunity environment. Performance-based incentives annually reward full-time employees based on their individual goals and the company’s achievements.
Headquartered in Saskatoon, PotashCorp is the world’s largest crop nutrient company by capacity and plays a vital role in global food production. The company produces the three essential nutrients – potash, phosphate and nitrogen – required to help farmers grow healthier, more abundant crops. PotashCorp employs over 3,120 people in Canada with almost 2,590 in Saskatchewan and approximately 530 in New Brunswick.
In addition, PotashCorp’s USD 8.3 billion capital expansion program is readying its facilities for anticipated growth in global potash demand. Close to completion, these expansions are also creating exciting career opportunities within the company.
“We continue to invest in the future of our business – its sustainability and its potential. Our employees are proud to play a role in the future of global food security while working day-to-day in a dynamic environment,” said Knafelc. “We also recognize the importance of charitable giving to our employees and our Matching Gift Program doubles employee contributions made to organizations of their choice.”
