Karellesprom Is Back to International Market
OREANDA-NEWS. The company has shipped the first lot of spruce timber to the wood-procesing company in West Europe.
Karellesprom Timber Holding Joint Stock Company resumes export marketing activities. The holding has concluded a contract to deliver timber to Binderholz wood-processing company which enterprises are located both on Austria, and in Germany.
According to the agreement, Karellesprom will ship its customers about 10,000 cubic meters of green spruce timber. Total cost of goods within the contract makes approximately € 600,000. Round timber should be delivered from Karelia to partners by the end of 2013. On October, 21 the boat with the first lot of timber which volume makes more than three thousand cubic meters has left the water terminal in Kodachi, Pudozh region.
According to Director General of Karellesprom Nikolai Raskatov, it is the first experience of Karellesprom's cooperation with Austrian Binderholz, however, providing successful performance of the contract both parties count upon continuation of cooperation.
Let us remind that in summer of 2013 Karellesprom has regained the right to make export supplies of softwood upon making its next payment for lease of forest land in due time that has enabled the holding to license its own activities concerning shipment of commercial timber abroad.
