OREANDA-NEWS. US Airways has announced it will be launching new nonstop service between Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) and Barcelona, Spain (BCN); Brussels, Belgium (BRU); Lisbon, Portugal (LIS) and Manchester, England (MAN) this spring. The four flights from Charlotte supplement the airline's current service to these destinations from its international gateway at Philadelphia International Airport.

Service to Barcelona, Lisbon and Manchester will begin Thursday, May 22, 2014. Service to Brussels will launch on Thursday, June 5, 2014. The new flights bring the number of international destinations US Airways serves from CLT Airport to 38 - ten cities in Europe and 28 in Canada, Mexico, Latin America, South America and the Caribbean. US Airways now serves 145 airports in 28 countries from Charlotte.

US Airways, along with US Airways Shuttle and US Airways Express, operates more than 3,100 flights per day and serves 198 communities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Central and South America. The airline operates its largest hub in Charlotte. Together with its US Airways Express partners, the airline serves approximately 80 million passengers each year.
