OREANDA-NEWS. On the 1st of October the train fleet of Metafrax group started to be controlled by the head office. Currently the fleet is about 1700 tank wagons.

This change helps to optimize costs of train maintenance. The information about location and state of trains is collected in the corporate information system Oracle BI, which makes online tracking of transport possible.

According to Commercial Director of Metafrax Andrey Davydov, the creation of this control centre will save the company about 1.3 million roubles annually.

Yet the main reason is the optimization of railway infrastructure control system of the group:

-  All the work connected with acconting, rotation, operation and maintenance of our train fleet will be done by our transport division, which not only has experienced specialists but also all the needed technical expertise, - says Andrey Davydov.

The process of tank wagon re-registration is almost completed. We are anticipating the confirmation shortly.
