OREANDA-NEWS. Annual corporate meeting of senior security officers of Norilsk Nickel group of companies took place in the State complex Congress Hall (St-Petersburg). The event aimed at definition of position and role of the Security Directorate of the Company in implementation of the Company's new strategy in line with the protection of Russian national interests.

Vladislav Gasumyanov, head of Corporate security directorate, made a presentation.

Representatives of St.Petersburg municipality and head offices of Russian Ministry of Interior and Russian Federal security service, as well as Federal Customs and Federal Drug control service took part in the conference.

Of particular interest of the present conference was the participation of heads of security bodies of the principal shareholders of Norilsk Nickel - Interros and Rusal.

The top-priority of the conference was the necessity of protection of TIER-1 assets and exceptional raw material and production resources of Norilsk Nickel.

Other priorities are guarantees for Company management and shareholders of higher profitability and universal exploration of Norilsk Nickel potential.

The participants underlined the necessity of more energetic counteraction to illegal sales of precious metals, cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the area of economic, logistic and power supply safety, as well as protection of the Company's assets against terrorist offences.

Representatives of security bodies of Interros and Rusal appreciated the transparency of Norilsk Nickel and expressed their willingness to efficient cooperation in the field of the problems of mutual competence.

The taken decisions shall guarantee the basic vectors of Norilsk Nickel refreshed strategy.
