OREANDA-NEWS. Launching of international project on organization of high speed data transfer between Europe and South East Asia called as DREAM took place in Moscow

The main crosses Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Austria, Germany. Total length of route between edge points– Frankfurt-um-Maine– boarder Kazakhstan /China–8700 km.

For realization of national plan on realization of errand of Head of State to Kazakhstani people dated 14 December 2012 "Strategy "Kazakhstan - 2050" – new political course of the state" Kazakhtelecom JSC in partnership with "Megafon" OJSC realizes a "DREAM" project for transit channels of large capacity in direction Europe – South East Asia.

The great advantage of the project is high main reliability as compared to underwater cable systems, for which long breaks are specific, caused by earthquakes in Asian and Pacific ocean region. It succeeded at expense of DREAM route, which crosses China boarder till Frankfurt -um-Maine on territories with zero or low seismic activity.

"Partnership with "Megafon" allowed Kazakhtelecom entering the market for transit channels in direction Europe –China. Today the route is the shortest land route with optimal characteristics of delay, time for defects removal. We are confident that thanks to this cooperation, we can strengthen positions of global international transit market", - underlined Rafael Abykhanov, Chief commercial director for Kazakhtelecom JSC.

Considering transit potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan, located in the center of European and Asian continent, this project will allow international operators organizing data transfer with more secure and optimal way. Every year traffic volume transferred from Europe to Asia, and respectively and demand to communication channels capacity, grew due to which this project shall become significant and perspective for business of all participated partners.
