OREANDA-NEWS. Today, the automobile plant of KAMAZ will assemble the ten thousandth bus chassis. The workers will participate in a solemn meeting on this occasion.

KAMAZ mastered production of bus chassis in 1999. Then 126 units were produced at the facilities of OAO KAMAZinstrumentspetsmash. And in February 2001, their specialized production was launched at the automobile plant. More than 800 units of bus chassis were produced already in 2013.

These chassis are delivered to Neftekamsk (Bashkortostan) where the subsidiary of KAMAZ – JSC Neftekamsk Automobile Plant – assembles buses under the NEFAZ trademark. The plant mass-produces a wide range of buses – urban, suburban, intercity buses, coaches for operation in the Far North, gas engine buses running on methane, tour buses of the increased comfort class, low-floor and low-entry buses. Besides, in December 2012, the factory started assembling small-class Bravis buses developed jointly by OJSC KAMAZ and the Brazilian automaker Marcopolo S.A.
