Chinese Ambassador Inspects Jobsite of 19MCC Group in Afghanistan
OREANDA-NEWS. Deng Xijun, Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan, and his delegation members conducted an inspection visit to the jobsite of Kabul University undertaken by the 19th China Metallurgical Construction Group (19MCC Group) on October 13, 2013.
The Ambassador inspected the construction sites of the Teaching Building and the Guest House of Chinese Department of Kabul University. He learned in details on the project execution progress, the function and the follow-up facilities to be built, and was debriefed on the follow-up implementation plan and the focus and the key difficulties.
Located on the highland of Afghanistan, this project is facing quite a few difficulties such as the tough security situation and shortage of materials supply. Against such a background, the project employees conquered all the difficulties through self-reliance, and realized the various targets on a timely and quality basis. Deng Xijun gave full recognition to the perfect performance of the employees and the smooth execution of the project. He emphasized the great significance of this project, requested all the employees to make strict control on the engineering quality and the security, with an aim to establish this project into a bridge for the friendship among the people of both countries.
The Teaching Building and the Guest House of Chinese Department of Kabul University contracted by 19MCC Group are designed with a frame shear wall structure, with a total floorage area of 6,641 square meters. The project construction was started in October of 2012.
