“I've arrived here to congratulate Donbas and say that you are on the right way. You are in the forefront of reforms. Your powerful region shows all the country where to go,” the President said at the plenary session of the Sixth international investment summit “Sustainable development: energy efficiency, resource preservation, environmental security” in Donetsk.

Viktor Yanukovych emphasized important role of industrial regions, such as Donetsk region, in the formation of the economy.

The Head of State also stressed that Donetsk region was an example for other regions in the issue of state-private cooperation.

Particularly, according to him, signature of the Agreement on cooperation within social partnership between “DTEK” company and Donetsk region provides for social responsibility of business to the state.

“It is the foundation of the law on state-private partnership and it is very important that big business shows a good example of it,” the President noted.
