FAS Discussed Issues Related to Intellectual Property Rights
OREANDA-NEWS. On 16th October 2013, the Analytical Centre at the Government of the Russian Federation held a Round Table on “Agreements on Exercising Intellectual Rights: Proposals to Explanations on Enforcement of Civil and Antimonopoly Law”. The Head of FAS Legal Department Sergey Puzyrevsky took part in the event.
Attendees included representatives of legal firms, law universities, non-commercial partnerships and a representative of the Entrepreneurial Rights Commissioner at the President of the Russian Federation in the field of intellectual property.
Participants discussed the issues related to intellectual rights, and world and European experience in intellectual property as well as the risks associated with antimonopoly enforcement and the methods to overcome them.
Sergey Puzyrevsky talked in detail about the concept of antimonopoly enforcement with regard to intellectual property and clarified the FAS position on the amendments to the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
The Round Table ended with a vivid discussion, and it was decided to organize such events on a regular basis.
