KAMAZ Regains Positions in Ukrainian Market
OREANDA-NEWS. Since the beginning of 2013, 316 KAMAZ vehicles have been sold in the Ukrainian market, one of the priority export markets of OJSC KAMAZ.
Despite the difficult economic situation in Russia, KAMAZ occupies 16.6% of the Ukrainian market in the segment of trucks with carrying capacity of over 16 tons as of October 2013. Thanks to a decision taken in August 2013 to extend guarantees for KAMAZ vehicles delivered to the Ukrainian market by up to two years, KAMAZ took first place in this segment already in September winning 27.7% at the end of the month.
Agrarians have been the main users of KAMAZ vehicles in Ukraine for already five years in succession. For the first three quarters of this year, KAMAZ-45143 and KAMAZ-45144 agricultural dump trucks were the most popular KAMAZ products there. During this period, 138 units of these vehicles were sold in Ukraine.
KAMAZ is constantly improving its products to meet clients’ needs. Thus, new grain carriers on KAMAZ-6520 and KAMAZ-65115 chassis with a SZAP-83053 trailer and dumping equipment produced by the Ukrainian factory ALEKO were introduced to the Ukrainian market this spring. These grain carriers feature an increased carrying capacity and an enlarged platform, and a three-axle trailer has single wheels and air suspension. The models were developed for Ukrainian farmers and immediately attracted many customers. For 2014, it is scheduled to start selling the new long-haul tractor KAMAZ-5490 Ukrainians are very interested in.
