Igor Sechin also took part in the plenary session of the Congress and delivered a report on the global energy security.
According to Igor Sechin, it is based on the institute of long-term contracts, which "is the most important legal binding tool to ensure energy security that is impossible to break without considerable economic consequences on the basis of litigations." "The long-term contracts contribute to building the corporate level system of mutual responsibility.
Politics should not impede contracts implementation. Contracts should have a top priority over any other national or regional interests. Perhaps, we need to standardize contracts and ensure certain guarantees for their immunity," Igor Sechin said.
