OREANDA-NEWS. Cotton growers in Balkan Velayat reported on the fulfillment of their contractual obligations. They delivered over 5,000 tons of ‘white gold’ to the receiving points of the country.

Given the soil and climate conditions in the region, the agricultural fields mostly in Serdar and Bereket etraps, which are irrigated by the Karakum River waters, were sown with the middle-fibre cotton varieties.

Achieving the remarkable results in the 2013 harvesting campaign, cotton growers in Balkan Velayat continue working hard to pick up this year's harvest till the last boll given the outstanding economic conditions created for them due to the large-scale reforms on the further development of the agricultural industry in the country.
