OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ NGVs will participate in the seventh annual motor race of gas-powered trucks and cars.

This year, Blue Corridor which started on October 3 in St. Petersburg will pass through 18 cities in 9 countries. The organizers of the race – the German company E.ON and the Russian companies Gazprom Export and Gazprom Gazomotornoye Toplivo – managed to attract more than 20 Russian and European energy, automobile and carrier companies. Buses, trucks and passenger cars running on compressed natural gas will cover 3900 km for 15 days.

KAMAZ will be represented at the race by a KAMAZ-65116-34 bolster-type tractor, a KAMAZ-65115-30 dump truck, a NEFAZ-5299-40-51 low-floor city bus with a Daimler engine, as well as a CMZL-9G garbage truck on a KAMAZ-4308-30 chassis produced by OOO RariTEK, KAMAZ’s distributor of CNG equipment.

The motor race is aimed at demonstrating benefits and convenience of using methane instead of petrol and diesel fuel. There will be stops along the route to conduct round table meetings with the participation of motor carriers and shipping companies which supply gas fuel, representatives of ports, industry experts, state and municipal authorities, the mass media.
