OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2013. 2,8 million tons, i.e. more by 14 pct. comparing with cargo handling turnover in August o f 2013,  were handled in Klaipeda Seaport in September of 2013.

The total throughput of Klaipeda Port and in Butinges terminal in September of 2013 totalled 3,6 mln. tn, i.e. less by -6,4 pct. or by -246,9 thou. tn if to compare with the corresponding period of 2012.

The cargo handling turnover in Klaipeda Port in September of 2013 was 2,8 mln. tn, i.e. less by  -6,4 pct.   or by  -188,8 thou. tn. comparing with the cargo handling turnover in September of 2012, but more by +14 pct. comparing with the cargo handling turnover reached in the previous month of the current year -  August of 2013.

0,8 mln. tn, i.e. less by -6,4 pct. or by -58,1 thou. tn  of cargo were handled at  Butinges terminal.

- Ore (bulk)  ( 120,8 thou. tn were handled,  the change was  +201,4 pct.  or +80,7 thou. tn yoy);

- containerised cargoes ( 392,8 thou. tn were handled,  the change was  +21,7 pct.  or +69,9 thou. tn yoy);

-agriculture products ( 484,9 thou. tn were handled,  the change was  +8,4 pct.  or +37,5 thou. tn yoy);

- oil products ( 447,9 thou. tn were handled,  the change was -36,3 pct. or -254,7 thou. tn yoy);

- natural and chemical fertilizers (liquid) ( 52,3 thou. tn were handled, the change was -58,9 pct. or -75,0 thou. tn yoy);

- natural and chemical fertilizers (bulk) ( 414,9 thou. tn were handled, the change was -10,8 pct. or -50,0 thou. tn yoy) were the categories of cargo that made the greatest impact on cargo handling turnover in September of the current year.
