OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2013. The sixth international medical exhibition "UzMedExpo- 2013" opened at UzExpoCenter in Tashkent.

It is organized by the Ministry of Health, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent city administration, "Dori-Darmon" joint-stock company, "Uzpharmsanoat” state joint-stock concern, Association of representative offices of foreign pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers in our country with the assistance of "IEG Uzbekistan" international exhibition company.

It was noted at the opening ceremony that as a result of possibilities, created under the leadership of President Islam Karimov in health care and equipping health facilities with the latest technologies, Uzbekistan took place among the leading countries of the world for the quality of the provision of public health services. The resolution of the head of our state "On measures to further deepen the reform of the health system" of November 28, 2011 is an important factor in further enhancing the effectiveness of health care.

An effective system of primary public health-care services, emergency and specialized medical care, maternal and child health protection is created. Multidisciplinary medical diagnostic centers have been established in local areas in order to make medical services available in all parts of the country. The task of strengthening reproductive health, birth of a healthy baby has become a nationwide movement. A considerable share of the State budget is directed to the construction and reconstruction of health facilities, strengthening of material and technical base.

According to the Association of foreign pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers, 1036 local and 4726 foreign drugs are registered in Uzbekistan. 279 international and 46 domestic enterprises operate in the field of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Systematic work to strengthen their material and technical base, improve the quality and efficiency of production is underway.

Traditional international medical exhibition "UzMedExpo" aims to inform professionals of the latest innovations and developments, innovative projects that strengthen direct contacts between domestic and foreign producers.

Medicines, medical diagnostic, laboratory and medical equipment, products of natural cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, new medicines, equipment and technologies used in radiology, dentistry, physiotherapy, surgery, cardiology, medical rehabilitation, sanitation and hygiene, special medical furniture, minerals and vitamins are on display.
