OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2013. Official delegation of the region headed by the speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Omsk Region Vladimir Varnavsky is making a return visit to Saxony. Mikhail Sutyaginsky, head of the project “PARK: Industrial-Agricultural Regional Clusters” told about possibilities and experience of cooperation of Omsk enterprises with companies of Free Land Saxony.

In February 2013 delegation of Saxony visited Omsk region, where meeting of the region’s Legislative Assembly and Free Land Saxony Landtag representatives took place. After the results of the visit deputies of the Legislative Assembly received invitation to visit Dresden and to be introduced to economic potential of the German Land. Besides chairmen of the committees and heads of fractions of the Omsk parliament the delegation included representatives of the Government of the region.

Presentation of Omsk region’s economy took place in the Dresden’s House of Land Communities. Early during the meeting the guests made records in the Golden Book of Saxonian Landtag. Head of the project “PARK”, who acted as one of the initiators of Russian and Germans partnership, told the German party about possibilities for cooperation between industrial enterprises of both countries. In particular, he said that Group of Companies “Titan” within the framework of project “PARK” chose strategic directions for development and is ready to cooperate on each of them with companies from FRG. Among the priority directions there are development of new markets for hydrocarbon and renewable feedstock deep processing production with high added value, strengthening of positions as a producer and a seller of wide specter of petrochemical goods, realization of energy efficiency and energy saving programs in order to provide ecological safety and energy efficiency of the industrial complex.

The German party showed readiness for joint cooperation and development of the said projects. Moreover, the Saxonian companies were interested in processing of Omsk polypropylene within the framework of industrial park. President of Dresden’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Gunter Brunch proposed to develop certain steps on realization of production of the new Omsk enterprise and to organize in October a meeting on one of Dow Chemical’s enterprises in Germany. Representatives of the German enterprises mentioned that they were planning to examine possibility of participation in the industrial park as investors, suppliers of equipment, financing facilitators.

During the visit the Omsk delegation visits production enterprises of Saxony, higher education institutions of the region and also goes sightseeing.

Let us mention, that the idea of cooperation between Omsk region and Saxony, originating from the Landtag deputy Sebastian Gemkov, was supported by Mikhail Sutyaginsky and appreciated both in Russia and in Germany. The starting point for the cooperation’s project was a visit of the head of the project “PARK” to Germany in late July 2012, where he met with the President of Saxonian Landtag Mattias Roessler.
