OREANDA-NEWS. October 10, 2013. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) issued a warning to “Novo Nordisk” Ltd. to stop actions (omissions) that had signs of violating the antimonopoly law.

The company attempted to impose disadvantageous conditions upon “Severo-Zapad” CJSC that were not relevant to the contract subject; “Novo Nordisk” Ltd. alos avoided contract with “Severo-Zapad” CJSC for supplying medicines.

“Novo Nordisk” Ltd. must make changes to the contract; consider orders placed by “Severo-Zapad” CJSC; and supply goods on non-discriminatory conditions.

Deputy Head of FAS Department for Control over Social Sphere and Trade, Ekaterina Uryukina, commented the decision made by the antimonopoly body: “Actions of “Novo Nordisk” Ltd. have signs of violating Clauses 3 and 5 Part 1 violated Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
