OREANDA-NEWS. Fujitsu announced that it has been selected for the United Nations Global Compact 100, a list of 100 highly-rated companies, for its social and environmental activities.

The United Nations Global Compact 100 is a new index of companies established by the United Nations Global Compact and Sustainalytics, an European organization that evaluates SRI activities of other companies. The index is a list of companies that have been analyzed for their excellence in adhering to the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, executive commitment, and profitability.

The United Nations Global Compact was established in July 2000 as the world's largest group promoting CSR activities and currently has approximately 8,000 participating corporations (of which 1,000 are listed) from approximately 145 countries. Fujitsu has been selected as one of the top-100 performing companies from the standpoint of sustainability and financial performance.

Fujitsu will continue to uphold the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the four areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. As a truly global information and communication technology company, it will also continue to contribute to the sustainable development of society and the planet.
