T-Systems Offers Certified Cloud Power for SAP HANA® Enterprise Cloud
OREANDA-NEWS. As one of the world's first SAP partners, T-Systems is now a SAP-certified provider of hosting services for the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud. By investing in the specific infrastructure of the SAP HANA platform, integration consulting, processes and training, the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary can now provide end-to-end big data services from the cloud.
Using its SAP HANA expertise, T-Systems wishes to provide its customers with applications for high-performance business intelligence in a big-data environment, which enable them to analyze mass data virtually in real-time, as well as condense this data into information for company management. With the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, companies can enter the world of big data without having to make any major investments and profit directly from T-Systems' closely dovetailed end-to-end big data solutions and infrastructure. They thus only make use of applications which run on the SAP HANA platform when they need them.
“The SAP HANA platform is a turbo tool for analyzing large volumes of structured data. To exploit the full potential of this data turbo, data centers, the network, application and process integration must interact perfectly. We invested in precisely this level of performance for SAP HANA,” says Dr. Ferri Abolhassan, member of the Board of Management at T-Systems. “We have also integrated SAP HANA into our Dynamic Services for SAP Solutions cloud offering. This means that business processes can additionally be improved or completely redefined.”
The SAP HANA platform has enormous potential as it not only processes large data volumes from business applications faster than before, but also supports new, integrated analytical methods that yield results which can directly be incorporated into business decisions and even generate new business processes. Furthermore, companies can meet statutory requirements more easily and more quickly as a result of faster data processing. This is why SAP HANA has attracted special attention from the banking industry, for example. Lawmakers have recently shortened the time frame for completion of risk reports in that sector from 30 days to just ten days. An efficient in-memory technology such as SAP HANA and its flexible end-to-end integration makes this significantly easier.
A key element for the certification is the new Dynamic Cloud Platform (DCP), which T-Systems put into operation not long ago and is continuing to expand. DCP gives customers standardized access to all cloud offerings such as Infrastructure as a Service, Collaboration as a Service or Software as a Service. It is a unified, endlessly scalable platform with automated processes that greatly facilitate adding new applications. The new cloud-based infrastructure also improves service levels for customers, since it completely eliminates downtime in connection with routine maintenance and even with upgrades of key components.
