Sydney Airport Welcomes Tigerair’s New Sydney-Perth Service
OREANDA-NEWS. Sydney Airport has today welcomed Tigerair’s announcement of a new route between Sydney and Perth.
“We’re very pleased that Tigerair will grow its presence in Sydney by launching its new six-weekly return service between Sydney and Perth in December,” Sydney Airport Executive Director Aviation Services, Shelley Roberts, said.
“It’s great news for travellers that this new service will be up and running in time for the busy Christmas and New Year period.
“The new service will also boost tourism in Sydney and New South Wales, with up to 2160 additional seats between Sydney and Perth per week.
“Sydney Airport is a hub for both domestic and international low cost carriers, offering our customers greater choice, value and convenience.”
The service will commence on 19 December, operating six days a week, with fares on sale from today.
With four A320 aircraft based in Sydney, Tigerair also operates services from Sydney Airport to Alice Springs, Brisbane, Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast, Mackay and Melbourne.
