OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2013. The Association Agreement will not only provide better conditions for the national manufacturers to enter the European market, but also improve the quality of products and facilitate the transition to the European standards.

“I hope that gradual introduction of FTA provisions will provide conditions for our manufacturers to switch to the new European standards. On one hand, we will have an opportunity to supply more goods to the European market, on the other hand, we will have to switch to the European standards of quality,” the Head of State noted in the course of his conversation with journalists in Kirovohrad.

According to him, the parties are almost ready to implement temporary provisions of the Agreement.

“Regulations give hope that we will get better conditions of export to European markets than we have now,” he said answering the question about the prospects of agricultural enterprises after the signing of the Agreement.

“Today, we are considering the issue of implementing the given Agreement at bilateral level,” Viktor Yanukovych noted.

The President noted that better quality of national products would not only allow national manufacturers reaching the new volume of production, but also allow Ukrainian consumers receiving more qualitative products.

“The provisions will require better quality of our products, but these products will also be supplied to the domestic market. Thus, Ukrainian consumer will benefit,” the Head of State noted.

Viktor Yanukovych stressed that Ukraine would achieve new quality of products that would enjoy demand on the European market due to the investments and introduction of new technologies.

“There is much to be done but gradually we will switch to the new standards and volumes of supply,” the Head of State said.
