OREANDA-NEWS. October 04, 2013. FLS Energy announced that Michael Shore has resigned as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Shore will remain on the board of directors and will continue on the leadership team as a consultant. Dale Freudenberger, current president, has been named CEO and will lead investor relations and strategic planning.

Mr. Shore is a co-founder of FLS Energy and has been in leadership since the company’s inception in 2006. His work has been focused on developing the strategic vision of the company and pursuing private investment. After leading the company for seven years, Mr. Shore is stepping down to pursue new opportunities in entrepreneurship.

Mr. Freudenberger is also a co-founder and has been deeply involved in the day-to-day activities of the company. He has worked on the leadership team to develop the firm’s vision and will continue moving the company forward on its strategic plan.

“Michael has been a tremendous leader and has overseen significant growth of the company,” said Mr. Freudenberger. “We have benefitted from his commitment to the environment, the community, and the work of FLS Energy. We wish him well in his endeavors and are looking forward to the next stage in our company’s journey.”

Under Mr. Shore’s leadership, the company has completed:

Over 50 Megawatts of renewable energy generation

Over 100 solar energy projects across the nation

Over 100 million raised in project and corporate financing

Named to Inc. Magazine’s top 500 fastest growing companies in 2011 and 2012, including 46th in the nation in 2011

Named the Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s Top 25 Companies to Watch in N.C. list
Mr. Shore was also deeply involved in developing the renewable energy portfolio standard (REPS), or Senate Bill 3, which enabled the creation of the renewable energy marketplace in North Carolina.
