Renaissance Capital Hires New Global Head of Equities
OREANDA-NEWS. Renaissance Capital, the leading emerging markets investment bank, has hired Benjamin Samuels as Global Head of Equities.
Based in London. Mr. Samuels will report to Renaissance's Chief Executive Officer Igor Vayn and will be responsible for managing and expanding the Firm's cash equities business.
Prior to Renaissance, Samuels held various senior positions in equities and equity distribution at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he spent 15 years building out and managing the emerging markets business, as well as running the pan-European equity sales desk, from both New York and London. He joined the Emerging EMEA equity sales team in New York in 1998, and was appointed Head of the US team in 2005, subsequently moving to London to run the Emerging EMEA sales team globally in 2007. Prior to leaving earlier this year, Samuels held positions as Head of Global, Pan-Euro and Asia Sales. He has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in History and Political Science from McGill University.
